Don Harrison

Don Harrison, President of Capitalist Investment Services, Branch Manager of Raymond James Financial Services and creator of Heart of Liberty Portfolios, is a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis. He holds a B.A. Degree from the University of Virginia.
He began his investment career in 1981 with E F Hutton, and worked as a financial advisor for a number of major securities firms before starting Capitalist Investment Services and offering securities through Raymond James Financial Services in November, 2001. Don has been a member of Raymond James Executive or Leader’s Council* from 2014 thru 2023 and his branch’s revenues currently rank it in the top 20% of all Raymond James branches nationwide.
He is a General Securities Principal (Series 24) and also holds Series 7, 51, 63 and 65 securities licenses, and insurance licenses for Life, Health and Variable Annuities.
His hobbies include coaching (former President & board member of The Girls’ Lacrosse Association of Anne Arundel County, former coach at St. Mary’s High School and Indian Creek Upper School), fishing, golf, songwriting and singing. He currently resides in Arnold, Md. with his wife Karen and two daughters, Jennie and Amy, and his four grandchildren.

Patricia Rene

Born in Massachusetts, Pat now resides in Arnold, MD with her husband and two daughters. She has a degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts. She divides her free time between her family, pets, and various volunteer activities.
Amy Harrison Bergel
Client Services Manager, Insurance Specialist, RJFS
Amy Harrison, graduated from Christopher Newport University in the spring of 2012. She has a B.A. in American Studies with a Minor in Writing. She is Life and Health Insurance licensed.
Amy has a passion for nutrition and fitness. She currently resides in the Annapolis area with her husband and son. Amy is a proud member of Phi Mu Fraternity, Lambda Epsilon chapter.
Karen Harrison
Office Manager
Karen has been the Office Manager for Capitalist Investment Services since its founding in 2001. She enjoys volunteering, reading, cooking, arts and crafts and helping to care for her four grandchildren.
